News From the Board of Directors

At the fall meeting, the Board of Directors elected a new slate of officers: Ross Ulibarri, President; Roberto Vigil, Vice President; Linda Fair, Secretary; Jay Geiger, Treasurer. Ross was Treasurer of Amigos Bravos prior to becoming President, and was instrumental in upgrading Amigos Bravos' fiscal reporting and fiduciary responsibilities. We look forward to Ross' leadership as the new President. Congratulations Ross! Amigos Bravos takes great pleasure in thanking Linda Fair for her dedicated service and strong leadership as President of the organization from 1997-2000. Linda provided leadership during a period of tremendous growth in the organization.We are very pleased that she is now taking on the responsibilities of Secretary. Amigos Bravos also welcomes Martha Quintana back to the Board of Directors. Martha was president of Amigos Bravos from 1995-97, and facilitated the 1998 Advisory Council retreat that developed Amigos Bravos' Three-Year Strategic Plan. Martha is a long-time labor organizer; she is currently Benefits Coordinator for the New Mexico Federation of Educational Employees.
