Amigos Bravos' Third Annual Gala Paint-A-Thon and Art Auction hosted by Gallery Elena in Taos to benefit the Río Grande on Saturday, June 17, 2000 (Rain date: June 18, 2000). The day-long Paint-a-Thon will be followed by a preview and cocktail party at Gallery Elena, in Taos, and will finish with a live auction of the Paint-A-Thon works. 100% of the profits will go to benefit the Río Grande and its watershed which American Rivers listed this year as the Seventh Most Endangered River in the Nation. Amigos Bravos will provide riverside refreshments for all artisits and maybe even a few peeled grapes! Artists will bring their work to Gallery Elena by 5:00 pm. The gallery is located in Taos at 111 Morada Lane, off Kit Carson Road east of the Plaza. A preview and cocktail party for the artists and collectors will be held from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at Gallery Elena. The live auction of the Paint-A-Thon works will begin at 6:00 pm. Many members expressed an interest in lending a hand with this event last year. Please contact Pat McCabe at the office to find out where we can use your help:serving riverside refreshments, hanging the show, checking in artists, setting up tents, etc. This year's paint party will be a fun and creative way to celebrate and support the Río Grande while collecting some of the finest art work available in New Mexico. Come out and hang with the river, hang with the artists and pick up your new favorite piece of art work. It's all about the river which is all about our life in New Mexico. Agua Limpia !Si!
