Call for Nominations: Amigos Bravos Service Awards

May 30,2001 Dear Friend of the Wild Rivers: Amigos Bravos cordially invites you to submit a nomination, or nominations, for the 2001 Amigos Bravos Service Awards. The categories are ‘Environmental Service’ and ‘River Protector’ (please see below for an explanation). Amigos Bravos wishes to honor citizens and professionals who have given outstanding service over the past year in the protection of New Mexico’s rivers, and would greatly appreciate your input. Nominations should be mailed to: Amigos Bravos Nominating Committee PO Box 238 Taos, New Mexico, 87571 Nominations (see below) are due June 30, 2001. (Please just copy the form to submit additional nominations). The awards will be presented September 9 in Albuquerque at the Amigos Bravos River Awards Ceremony. With many thanks in advance for your help, Cynthia Gomez Amigos Bravos Albuquerque Projects Director Environmental Service Award Amigos Bravos presents an Environmental Service Award each year to an individual or organization that exhibits outstanding stewardship of New Mexico’s rivers and watersheds. We are looking for a nominee who inspires in others a commitment to protect New Mexico's waters. We invite you to help us find the person or organization who will receive this year’s Environmental Service Award. Please write us a description of your nominee’s contributions and how they inspire others. Feel free to submit more than one nomination (please use a separate form for each). Submit your nominations by June 30, 2001. River Protector Award This year, Amigos Bravos also wants to recognize a professional individual or organization that supports the work of New Mexico's communities to protect their rivers and watersheds. Recipients may be public servants, agency personnel, business persons, scientists, attorneys, or other professionals. We particularly want to acknowledge those who work with the social and environmental justice community in the protection of New Mexico's rivers. Please write us a description of your nominee’s contributions and how they support the work of the social and environmental justice community. Feel free to submit more than one nomination.
