Albuquerque Office Hires Office & Project Assistant

As our workload in Albuquerque expanded over the past year, we decided the time had come to get the one-person office some help. In January 2002 Dion Jackson was hired to assist Albuquerque Projects Director, Cynthia Gomez. It's been one week and Dion has already begun lightening the load. Dion has provided a brief bio to help you get to know her. My name is Dion Jackson, and I am the new Office and Projects Assistant for Cynthia Gomez in the Albuquerque Office. I came to Amigos Bravos simply because it is an organization promoting environmental awareness. I was previously employed by an interpretive association, and it was through that association that I began taking real interest in environmental issues. Along with my regular duties, I performed volunteer services such as assisting in the organization of a National Public Lands Day event every year. I gained experience in working with non-profit organizations and many related government agencies, as well as encouragement to take an active part in saving our lands and resources. Along with environmental work, I am also an active volunteer with Mothers Against Drunk Driving. I am currently working on finishing a degree in Business Management as well. In my spare time, I enjoy writing and spending time outdoors. I look forward to applying my abilities and sharing my experience with Amigos Bravos, and expect to find the work rewarding.
